Grand Master M. A. TAI

(President of Pakistan Pride of Performance Holder)

Grand Master M. A. TAI is pioneer of martial arts in Pakistan. A Burmese by origin migrated to former East Pakistan in 1969, then moved to Karachi Pakistan in 1970 and started to give training of Martial arts especially the Burmese art of fighting Bando along with Judo and Karate.


His major fame established when he trained famous Pakistani wrestler Muhammad Akram against the famous Japanese wrestler Antonio Anoki.


Grand Master M. A. Tai is really a legendary personality in the field of sports and martial arts having international recognition.

He ranked 9 in the professional kickboxing organization World Karate Association in 1982. Ho fought and loosed to former world champion Don “the dragon” Wilson.


He has uncountable awards and honours in his career. He is the first and only martial arts personality who received the President of Pakistan Pride of Performance award. He also inducted in various Martial Arts Hall of fame. He is also UNO ambassador for Sports.

He is founding President and founding Secretary of Pakistan Judo Federation and Pakistan Karate Federation duly recognized by the international bodies and national Olympic committee in Pakistan.


He has the biggest dojo of the world in Karachi Pakistan. His dojo enrolled the maximum students of martial arts in Pakistan and abroad, maximum number of Black belts and female students etc:

He is super fit and regularly involved in giving training to enthusiasts at Karachi Goan Association (KGA) Gymkhana, M. A. Jinnah Road, Karachi, Pakistan.
